Barbara Fish attained a Masters of Education in Counselling
Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1988. She
has been providing counselling, assessment and coaching
services ever since.
Barbara specializes in motivating clients to make positive
changes in their lives. She facilitates a process that
helps clients recognize their strengths, identify problem
areas, develop realistic solutions, and move through
transitions with greater ease. She coaches individuals
to focus their attention and energy towards attainable
goals. Over the years, she has assisted hundreds of clients
to overcome barriers and to achieve personal, career
and educational success. She has helped individuals regain
a sense of hope, purpose and confidence.
Since opening her private practice in 2000, Barbara has been providing personal, career and group counselling and coaching services as well as corporate outplacement and workshop facilitation.
Prior to opening her private practice, Barbara spent
12 years at JVS of Greater Toronto as a career counsellor,
remediation specialist, and psycho-educational/vocational
consultant. She has designed and facilitated numerous
workshops addressing both individual and group needs
related to career, educational and life concerns.
Barbara Fish has also worked as a special education
teacher, an elementary school counsellor, a group facilitator
for an eating disorder outpatient group, and a corporate
trainer.
