As I look forward to my 5th anniversary in private practice, I am doing what I often recommend to clients. I am taking stock of where I have been and making plans for where I am going.

Over the last few years, I have noticed a shift in the type of service that my clients have been seeking. While the mainstay of my practice has always been career counselling, I have noticed that personal counselling and coaching have taken on a greater significance. I am currently seeing more clients for longer-term personal issues than ever before.

In light of this new emphasis on personal counselling, I will be offering workshops related to personal issues starting this fall.

The first workshop is called “Getting Past Procrastination” and is aimed at helping those who have trouble getting things done. Health and Wellness

As the volunteer coordinator of a Health and Wellness Speaker Series at my local community center, I am writing to invite you to attend our first Health and Wellness Fair on Sunday, September 11th from 10:00 a.m.-4:15 p.m. at Garnet A. Williams Community Center in Thornhill. The centre has been reserved for seminars, dance and movement classes, children’s programming and a marketplace providing free services and demonstrations. We hope to have something of interest for everyone.

The fair is free of charge and open to the public.
