“Change your thoughts and you change your
world.” Norman Vincent Peale
In a world of constant change and myriad choices, life can feel
confusing, frustrating and overwhelming at times. It can also be
sad, disappointing and unsatisfying. You may have come from a dysfunctional
home that still haunts you despite the fact that you left it years
ago. You may feel unhappy with your current situation, but are
not sure how to change it.
You keep hoping that somehow today will be different, better,
but you find yourself repeating the same old patterns and end up
feeling the same negative feelings. You try talking about it to
friends or family members, but sometimes you don’t feel understood,
accepted or even heard.
Seeing a professional counsellor may be a way to find the support,
the understanding and the help that you are seeking. Counselling
can help you better understand yourself and your perceptions of
the world and challenge some of the negative self-talk
that keeps you feeling unhappy, lost or confused.

I also want you to know how much your genuine concern, thoughtfulness, and understanding mean to me, particularly in light of the many obstacles to peace and happiness that I continue to face. I feel so fortunate that you came into my life and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you. |

Barbara's sessions were a place of observant acceptance. The safety of her patience, empathy and insight equipped me with the knowledge that my challenges were not a fabrication, but very real and valid. From this, we further built upon the foundation for renewed self-awareness and explored the possibilities of overcoming depression, insecurities and creative paralysis.
I emerged with a set of lifestyle tools which maintain balance and optimism. Barbara helped me to realize that life's challenges, while impossible to eliminate, can be altered and managed through our own applications. Her wise, sometimes witty insights coupled with a sincere kindness have empowered me for many tomorrows. Thank you is hardly enough. |
